Welcome Back to Camp!

We're glad you found us — we're trying to make it possible for Camp Staff to stay in touch with each other, and to hopefully (some day) provide events that will draw staff alumni back to the reservation. It's a new effort with just a few volunteers, so our goals are pretty simple: 1) find out where everyone is, 2) build a mailing list, and 3) provide ongoing communications.

Chances are, you'll never forget those special times at camp. Of course, (big yawn) life goes on, we eventually grow up, and somewhere in the back of our minds is the assurance that life was mighty good at one time, back in the days of kicking around the Blue Ridge Scout Reservation. As a group of former staffers, our committee wants to build on these collective experiences among camp staff alumni, to recognize this group as an untapped resource for enhancing programs, and to rekindle some of the memories we all share!

One thing we all agree on is that friendships and experiences forged while serving on summer camp staff are some of the most important memories of our entire life. It should not surprise you to know that this magic still occurs each year, when a new group of scouts signs on for summer employment at either Camp Powhatan, Camp Ottari, High Knoll, New River Adventure, Claytor Lake Aquatics Base or any of the many programs we offer.
