2008 Friends of Scouting
Campaign

The future of the Blue Ridge Mountains Council depends on securing adequate financial resources. It is critical that our Council's annual operating income be sufficient to accomplish the growth in membership, units, volunteers, program opportunities and facilities and support a full and well-trained professional staff.

The Council's Friends of Scouting (FOS) Goal of $916,000 represents 20% of its $4.2 million dollar budget. In 2007, we surpassed our goal of 863,900 and finished the campaign with $883,354.

Our 2008 FOS Campaign is off and running. It will last from January 1 through May 31, 2008. It includes the Council's Eagle Club Recognition Dinner, district events, card campaigns, Family Friends of Scouting Presentations and phone-a-thons. Each district has a goal, along with the Council leadership and the Reservation.
