		Piedmont District Commissioner District Commissioner: Charles Tucker (434) 237-2364 Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner: Mary Wilborn (434) 248-5103 Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner: Dennis Ratliff (434) 845-9008 Fall Roundtable Schedule: Roundtable for Piedmont District is held the second Thursday of every month (except July) at Fort Hill United Methodist Church, 106 Oakridge Blvd. in Lynchburg. The commissioner staff is striving to make our Roundtable nights very productive for all that attend. October Roundtable (October 11) Cub Roundtable will be discussing activities and den meetings Boy Scout Roundtable will have District Advancement Chairman Rob Palmer, who will discuss “The Eagle Process – Life to Eagle.” Barry Turner, our Training Chairman, will provide New Leader Essentials to all new Cub and Scout leaders. November Roundtable (November 8) There will be a joint Roundtable in November. Unit re-charters will be available and there will be a training session on the on-line re-charter process. Unit leaders and whoever will be processing the re-charter are required to attend. The training tem will be offering New Leader Specific training for new Cub leaders, and for those who have changed positions. December Roundtable (December 13) December will also be a joint roundtable. Cubs and Scouts will tackle “Webelos to Scout Transition.” This is a very important Roundtable in the recruiting process for Scouts. Den leaders working with Webelos and Assistant Scoutmasters in charge of new scouts should make every effort to attend. Additionally, the commissioner staff will have a program on the Centennial Quality Unit Program for the 2007-2008 scout year. Scoutmasters and Cubmasters should attend to gain more info on the program. January Roundtable (January 10) We will be discussing the legal issues facing Scouting, and we will also be talking about what in Scouting is tax deductible. Important Commissioner Dates: October 13 Units apply for Centennial Quality Unit Awards for 2007 November 8th Re-charters available for pickup at the November Roundtable January 12th Charter turn-in at Heritage United Methodist Church. Final date for online re-chartering.
