E
xperience the ultimate in Scout leadership training! Wood Badge for the 21st Century is advanced training that will give adult leaders the skills to make a difference. The course brings together adults from all areas of Scouting (Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing, as well as the district and Council) who want to become better leaders. Wood Badge training provides a common foundation of leadership skills to be used throughout all program areas.

Wood Badge teaches adults leadership skills over two three-day weekends. The course is not advanced training for outdoor skills; however, some outdoor skills are needed for attendance. Participants will leave the course with skills that will help them not only become better leaders in the Boy Scouts, but also with skills that are transferable to all parts of their life.

It doesn't matter whether you have been in Scouting one year or 10, you will learn new skills that will help you build teams in any organization, both inside and outside Scouting. You'll learn how to be a more effective leader and to build a quality program for youth. You will live the magic of Scout leadership training as envisioned by the founder of Scouting, Lord Robert Baden-Powell

The next course will be held at Claytor Lake Adventure Base, April 28-30, and May 19-21 2011.
