We are pleased to announce the hiring of Bryan Davidson to the position of
Field Director East in our Blue Ridge Mountains Council effective March 1, 2024.
Bryan and his family are relocating to the Lynchburg area from the Greater Wyoming Council where he served as the Councils program director. Bryan’s other experiences include District Executive and District Director in the Pony Express Council and Northern Lights Council.
Bryan is an Eagle Scout from Troop 66 in Plattsburg, Missouri. He began his Scouting career in 2008 as a District Executive with the Pony Express Council, serving multiple districts. From there he went on to the Northern Lights Council, in Fargo, North Dakota, as a Senior District Executive and District Director, before moving to Scottsbluff, Nebraska.
Bryan has experience managing the Western Nebraska and Eastern Wyoming service area, as well as the Lockwood Scout Service Center and Scout Shop. As a program director his primary responsibilities were managing Camp Buffalo Bill, just outside of the East gate of Yellowstone National Park, as well as all training and advancement for the council.
He is an avid outdoorsman, and birder, with a degree in Biology. His passion for the Scouting program is not lost on his family. His favorite Scouting activities to do with his daughters are going on hikes, fishing, pinewood derby racing, and participating in Scout camp.
Please join me in welcoming Bryan, his wife, Meghann, and three daughters, Eliza (10), Coralyn (8), and Anneliese (6) to our Blue Ridge Mountains Council.
